BCR (Ball closure Rings) The diameter is measured at the widest inside diameter (D),(or 2 points that are the furthest away inside the ring). Gauge is measured on the widest point of the BCR(G). Ball size is measured on the widest diameter of the ball
Circular BarbellsThe diameter is measured at the widest inside diameter (D). Gauge is measured on the widest point of the Circular Barbell (G). Ball size is measured on the widest diameter
Flesh Tunnel, Plugs, Hanger, Tapers Stretchers These are measured by the outside diameter of the item, this is the MM (gauge) of the item and relates to the thickness of your piercing, e.g. if you have a 5mm hole in your ear then the Gauge of the jewellery you should buy will be 5mm. The length (or height) of these is measured from the front of the front flare to the back of the back flare
Straight BarbellsThe gauge of these is measured at the thickest point of the barbell (shaft)(G). The length is measured from between both balls (L)
Curved Barbells or bananabell (Eyebrow/Belly Bars)The gauge of these is measured at the thickest point of the barbell (shaft)(G). The length is measured from between both balls(L), on the inside of the curved part of the barbell.
LabretsThe gauge of these is measured at the thickest point of the bar (stud)(G). The length is measured from between the ball and the flat plate(L).
